At Prairie Vale, there are special events
each year specific to each grade level and TONS of activities for ALL
students. Read below to find out details about each one…
Grade Specific Activities
- Kindergarten and New Students- Boo Hoo Brunch in the lobby
café. This early morning breakfast is especially for parents who are sad
(and some who are not so sad!!!) to see their babies off to school for
the first time. Come meet other parents who you will be spending your
next 12-13 years with!! This is a great time to make new friends and
greet old ones. Meet in the lobby "café" immediately after the students
go to class…you may need some carbs, caffeine and simple sugars to help
you celebrate or commiserate! This event is on hold due to health and safety procedures, but may be substituted with an online alternative.
- Kindergarten-Winter Lunch is held in the gym in
December. Parents and family members are invited to eat a delicious
turkey and dressing (or bring their own lunch) with their student. Students may even sing a song or two! This event is on hold due to health and safety procedures, but may be substituted with an online alternative.
- First Grade-Oldies, but Goodies (Grandparent's Day)
lunch-This is a day when first graders can invite their grandparents
(or parents or special friends) to join them in the gym for a cookie. Students may "rock" to a ditty to entertain their "oldies".
This event is on hold due to health and safety procedures, but may be substituted with an online alternative.
- Second Grade-Donuts with Grownups Breakfast-Second graders can invite their special grownup to have breakfast on this morning. We all meet in the
gym to munch on donuts and hang out together. Students may even serenade their special guests with a tune...sure to bring a tear to any eye! This event is on hold due to health and safety procedures, but may be substituted with an online alternative.
- Third Grade-Thanksgiving Lunch-Third graders can invite their friends and family to dine with them on delicious turkey and dressing. Because we are thankful, you might even get a chance to see and hear your student perform!
