Hello,
my name is Kathy Schwiebert and I teach fifth grade Reading. My husband, Peter,
and I live in Edmond and we have two children–Kristin and Matt.
I grew up and went to school in Ohio. I met my husband in Michigan and we lived
in Michigan and Illinois before moving to Oklahoma.
I believe that a teacher has an awesome responsibility. My two main goals in
education are to teach the subject matter and to empower my students by teaching
them to be successful. I will be working with each student this year to identify
his/her own personal learning style. We will be addressing all learning
modalities.
The Deer Creek 5th grade Reading curriculum is closely aligned with the Oklahoma
PASS Skills. We will be reading novels, learning classic poetry, and becoming
better readers this year!
