First off, I want to thank you for sharing your child with me!  I teach social studies for all fifth graders along with one section of math. Students will be enriched in American history this year along with geography skills. We will begin our studies with Native Americans (pre-Columbian era), move on to early explorers, and then learn about the settling of the English Colonies. Students will next go into studying details of the American Revolution and our Constitution. We will work our way through U.S. history to finish close to the present time, discussing details along the way of events that shaped our country. My goal is that your fifth grader walks away from my class loving American history as much as I do!

All of my teaching experiences to date have been with 5th and 6th graders, with subject areas of social studies, math, music, and language arts. I am a graduate of Oklahoma State University (go Pokes!) with a BSE degree in Elementary Education.

My husband, Matt, and I have two beautiful children, Cole and Annabeth, who both attend Deer Creek schools. I enjoy reading, watching my kids be active in their activities, and following the OSU Cowboys.
