Bunny Jones
Reading
To be welcomed into the “Antler Family” has been such a positive experience for
me! I retired from teaching two years ago and began working for Glencoe division
of McGraw-Hill as a sales consultant. The teaching field was still a part of my
life. When the opportunity came for me to work with Prairie Vale, I was
delighted. Mrs. Anderson, the staff, and the baby Antlers are a treasure I enjoy
and hope to make a contribution to the outstanding programs I am encountering.
I come to Prairie Vale with a wide variety of experiences in teaching, having
taught students in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Although my career began
in Oklahoma, I taught in Anchorage, Alaska, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, before
returning to Oklahoma Public Schools. I have taught in Alex, Lawton, Putman
City, and Yukon. My undergraduate degrees are in Business and Elementary
Education, and a masters in reading from the University of Oklahoma.
My eldest daughter and her three daughters live in the Jenks community; my
youngest in the metro. Life is good.
I am looking forward to working with our Prairie Vale children to help them
learn the reading skills that better equip them to become successful readers.
Please contact me if you have any questions, concerns, and/or suggestions about
the reading program and your child’s progress toward becoming an independent
reader. |
