Johnisue Conger

I was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where I have fond memories of playing baseball, hide and seek, riding my bike, and hunting for anything that crawled, swam or slithered.  As much of a tom boy that I was, I loved cheerleading for the Pine Bluff Zebras.  After completing high school, I attended University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

I majored in elementary and special education and received a double degree in only three years.  I contribute the many hours I spend as an intern at Conway Human Development Center for my love and devotion for special needs children.

I married George Conger, the love of my life. We have two boys, Robert and David that have given us many challenges as well as blessings.  Robert in serving in the Army and David is a classical guitar teacher in Austin, Texas.

I am a career teacher who has had the good fortune to have taught in the finest school districts in this wonderful country.  I have taught in the Plano and McKinney School Districts, and The Lamplighter School, all in the Dallas area. In Oklahoma, I taught at Jenks public schools and Heritage Hall.  Now, I am so blessed to have the wonderful opportunity to teach at Deer Creek, Oklahoma’s finest!

My hobbies include fly-fishing, gardening, cooking, snow skiing and mountain climbing.

I am very excited about starting another new school year.
