Deer Creek Prairie Vale Elementary

Pamela Brown

Special Education

Pamela BrownHi!  My name is Pamela Brown and I have taught Special Education for over 14 years in Oklahoma, over 12 of them at Prairie Vale.  Previously, taught regular education grades 1-6 in Odessa, Texas, which is where I am originally from.
I love my job and I love teaching in Deer Creek.  The children and staff make it so easy for me to hop out of bed every morning and come to school.  I actually look forward to school starting each year!

I am also the head Special Olympics coach at PV and love working with my children.  We have such a blast!  We compete in Bowling, Bocce, Track and Field, Softball, Basketball and Soccer.  Each year I attend training to add one more sport.  The Polar Plunge in JANUARY at WHITE WATER BAY was “freezing” but well worth the dip.  DC raised over $ 10,000.  It was awesome!

I am I guess you would say “Blessed” (most of the time) to have 3 wonderful grown children and am also a “Pamaw”.  (I refuse to be called Grandma or Granny, ha!)  I also have a Maltese named Fluffy whom I call the mascot of Prairie Vale because she loves to come to school.

During the summer I love to travel, especially cruises.  I’ve been to several really cool places like Africa, Costa Rica, Alaska etc.  I love going to the lake with my family and having a rip roaring time.  I also love to remodel and flip houses or rent them out for a bit and then flip them.  One of my favorite channels is HGTV.

Life is just too short to not enjoy every minute of it that you can.  So you will usually always see me with a  J  on my face and full of energy.
